Are we in control of our decisions?

Abstract:
This time we discuss a topic about illusion, which means people do not always make decision by rationality. The following is major video we discussed:

At the first, we discussed how visual illusion come from and how to avoid visual illusion. Second, we talk about how preparatory condition can affect people's decision, especially when the decision is hard to make, people will tend not to "make decision". Third, we found out comparison between two similar things may leads to cognitive illusion. To sum up, people all have cognitive illusion, if we consider our cognitive limitation when we build a system, such as health caring, stock market, voting, then maybe we are able to design a better world.

Status of this time of the meeting:
Many people can not attend this time. The number of people attended this time is 3, less than before. Hope there are more people to join our meeting and share different ideas. Some questions are hard to answer or discuss, lecturer need to reorganize questions and tempo of discussion.
